The upgrade works to the building control system were won in competitive Tender and installed in accordance with the client’s design engineer requirements.

The building had a requirement to maintain the services and minimise downtime in the changeover process.

This was delivered following dialogue with the clients engineering and on‐site staff.

The following works were carried out in accordance with a program that head been agreed with the building occupiers.

The installation of temporary electrical supplies to maintain hot water in both Ann Stephenson House boiler room and Neil Sharpe calorifier room and Ifor Evans boiler room.

The removal of the control section of the Anne Stephenson House control panel and the installation of a new Trend BMS control panel within the boiler room together with associated wiring and new valve actuators.

The field wiring was installed in a galvanised trunking this was fitted around the existing mechanical pipe work and electrical containment.

The integration of the new panel in Ann Stephenson House with the existing head and terminal located in the maintenance workshop within Anne Stephenson..

The installation of a new remote control alarm link to the Ifor Evans boiler room connecting to the existing Trend outstation interface already located there this was achieved by running a multi core twisted pair steel wire armoured cable run across roof space and existing underground pipe work.

The installation of a new remote control alarm link to the Neil Sharp calorifier room complete with a new trend outstation interface this was achieved by running a multi core twisted pair steel wire armoured cable alongside a CAT 5 data cable in existing underground pipe work

All electrical works were installed and tested to BS7671 and test results recorded on Amtech software. The following mechanical installation works were also carried out
The installation of 10 pressure switches across each heating circuit and hot water pumps.
The installation of a new water meter with BMS read‐out connection in Ann Stephenson Boiler Room. The installation of a new gas meter with BMS read‐out connection in Ann Stephenson Boiler Room. The installation of the new gas meter and Re‐commissioning of 4 gas boilers.
